I have been an NHS Doctor since 2005 when I completed my MB BS Medical Studies along with an additional degree in Biomedical Sciences at Barts and the Royal London Hospital. Following that I worked in hospital placements in Essex before moving to Gloucestershire in 2007 where I worked at both Gloucester Royal and Cheltenham General Hospitals before completing my GP training in 2010.
I subsequently worked in a small number of local GP practices as well as spending time doing voluntary work in a rural hospital in South Africa before returning to an NHS partnership in Painswick.
I still work (almost) full time as an NHS GP Partner in Painswick where am involved in the training of new GPs and am the practice lead for child safeguarding, medication prescribing and am the clinical lead for one of the local nursing homes. I met Dr Steve Pierini whilst working at Painswick some years ago and have been pleased to recently join him and the team at Spa.
I really enjoy the unpredictable, varied nature of General practice and getting to know my patients and their families over a long period of time.
I spend as much of my spare time as possible with my wife and two young children as well as the odd bit of swimming, cycling and running. I am also an avid rugby fan and have so far managed to survive as a fairly vocal Bath supporter in the heart of Gloucester Rugby country!
